Forest Explorers: Campfire & Craft

The summer might almost be over, but the fun sure isn’t!
Parents and guardians, bring your kids down to the Forest Exploration Center & Native Tree Nursery this September for our special Forest Explorers event: Campfire & Craft.
We’ll hang out by the fire, play games, eat s’mores, and do a fun nature craft. We hope to see you there!
This event is open to children of all ages. Parents/guardians must accompany their children for the duration of the event.
Seed Collection Hike & Workshop
Thursday, September 17
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Adventure into the beautiful September woods with us as we search for native seeds. As we hike, we’ll discuss seed ecology and the amazing world of biodiversity. You’ll get an up-close look at Reforest Our Future’s sustainable sourcing and philosophy, as well as our seed processing methods!
At the end of our workshop, you’ll take home your very own seeds to grow.
This event is free and open to people of all ages.
Please be aware that we may be hiking on terrain that is uneven, bumpy, or on an incline…but we will take our time as we hunt for seeds.
Tree Planting Volunteer Day: Adding to Patches of Forest

Let’s plant trees!
In Brady’s Run Park, we have several Patches of forest that we’ll be planting in throughout autumn. Join us, plant some trees, and make a positive difference for Beaver County and beyond!
This event is open to all ages. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.
Forest Fantasy Fundraiser
Thursday, October 29
6 – 9 pm, doors open at 5 pm
Enjoy a festive fall evening with friends, live music by the Dave Sheppard Band, square dancing, buffet dinner, locally crafted beer, and more as we celebrate another amazing year of growth!
Last year, we made it our goal to continue growing in every way: create more programs for our amazing community, finish up construction of the nursery, plant more Patches of native forest, and grow even more native species at the Forest Exploration Center.
Since then, we’ve grown and bloomed in ways we only dared to dream of. This year, we hosted over 700 people across 27 events. We’ve grown over 50 native species at our nursery and have continued hosting volunteer days and tree plantings to help reforest Beaver County. Our community effort to reforest and educate Beaver County was recognized in a huge way this June when the Forest Exploration Center & Native Tree Nursery was awarded the 2026 Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence! Thank you so much to our amazing community who have made all of this possible.
Please join Reforest Our Future for our 4th Annual Forest Fantasy Fundraiser on Thursday, October 29th from 6 pm to 9 pm to celebrate another fantastic year of growth. Doors open at 5:00 for anyone who wants to come early to tour the Forest Exploration Center and Native Tree Nursery.
All proceeds benefit our mission to engage, educate, and empower people and communities to plant trees, reforest landscapes, and revitalize essential ecosystems for a healthy future for all.

Directions to our events
All our events meet at the Forest Exploration Center & Native Tree Nursery in Brady’s Run Park.
We are adjacent to the Maple Syrup Lodge, 526 Brady’s Run Rd, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
When you get to the park, we are one mile past the Rt. 51 entrance. You will turn left onto a little bridge and the Lodge will be in front of you. Turn left before the Lodge and drive on down to our greenhouse and our office building and pavilion (both are green).
