Philippines Reforestation
Reforest Our Future is working to restore forests around the world. We partner with organizations in the Philippines to support their reforestation projects.
Leyte Reforestation Project (LRP) was started by Reforest Our Future’s founder with local partners in the Philippines after the powerful 2013 Super Typhoon Haiyan. In the aftermath of the storm, LRP started by growing and planting trees to reforest areas that were damaged. They have since gone on to build an internationally accredited nursery, and conduct tree planting projects with nearby communities to restore much needed tree canopy. LRP has particular strengths in restoring tree cover along riverbanks to protect communities from erosion and flooding.

Forest Restoration in Motion Fundraiser
Help us support Forest Restoration in Motion: the fundraiser where we help a well-deserved organization secure reliable transportation to plant thousands of native trees in the Philippines.
Leyte Reforestation Project (LRP) consists of a team of staff and volunteers who serve their community by raising trees at their tree farm and using the seedlings they produce to regenerate patches of native Philippine forest throughout their local region.
After years of hauling trees and tree planters, LRP’s current farm truck has finally given up. The little Multi-Cab did more than its fair share of work over the years and has been repaired over and over, but alas, its time has come to an end.
In order for LRP to continue its mission of reforesting the Philippines and training the next generation of re-foresters we need your help to purchase a brand new truck!
The KIA 2500 4×4 is a great option for transporting trees and people to planting sites and back. This truck can handle the daily farm work that needs done and will be tough enough to traverse the rough mountain roads that lead to the local forest and the communities that live there.
Having an efficient, reliable vehicle will be a game-changer and will certainly help keep forest restoration in motion. With the new KIA, LRP can succeed at planting even more trees at more locations, which is a big win. Not to mention, no more suffering through breakdowns that cost valuable time that could have been used to plant even more trees.
Let’s show some love for the planet and organizations like LRP that are taking great care of it.
Please contribute to Forest Restoration in Motion today!
Let’s raise enough to purchase a new KIA 2500 4 x 4.
