Field Trips
What do we offer at our facility?
At the Forest Exploration Center & Native Tree Nursery, nestled in the heart of Brady’s Run Park, our outdoor learning facility offers field trips for grades k-12 or private organizations, featuring nature-centered learning where kids can partake in:
- Hiking
- Nature crafts
- Forest Tales with ROF’s Certified Therapy Dog
- Hands-on learning in the nursery and park, such as plant ID, seed collecting, seed processing, planting, nature skills, and more!
Reforest Our Future’s educational mission is to inspire an appreciation of nature and provide the knowledge that is needed to take responsibility for our forests in meaningful ways that make a difference.
We teach our lessons through an ecological lens, focusing on methods of sustainable forest restoration…and we have lots of fun while doing it!
Cost: $12 per student, facilitators free.
Nonprofits are discounted at $8 per student, facilitators free.
Lunch: Students are responsible for providing their own lunch.
Field trip season: We schedule field trips all throughout the year.
We know the importance of getting kids out in nature, which is why we offer a no-cost option for field trips. To apply for a no-cost field trip, please send an email with the following information and inquire about the “no-cost application”.
